This irritates me no end to the point I try to no longer walk by DePasquale Square now. Yes there once was public access to a beautiful fountain(scroll left) which now can’t be seen and is blocked off by Constantino’s for extra outdoor dining. I’m betting you can’t even see the fountain in the photo now. . I remember tourists posing in front of that fountain, brides making a special trip for wedding photos, children making a wish, and locals just sitting for a moment there to rest between errands. It actually was even written about on Wikipedia. No longer! . To add insult to injury… The most recent repair to the fountain in 2019 cost about $500,000, which came from the city’s Capital Improvement Plan and the City Council’s Neighborhood Improvement Fund… the City’s $$$, not the restaurants blocking the fountain off! Essentially the city of Providence paid for Constantino’s expansion of their private restaurant. Half a million dollars and the public is shut out! В общем расскажу, как мы собрались в путешествие на машине по штатам Новой Англии🏴 28 июня Диму отправляют отпуск, в этот день мы съездили с моей семьей к океану, 29 погуляли по Брайтон Бич, проводили их в аэропорт и на следующий день поехали с ночевкой на кемпинг к озеру #welchlake и Дима предлагает оставшиеся дни отпуска провести, посетив все штаты #NewEngland Вернувшись с кемпинга, быстро собрались и выехали по направлению к городку #NewHeaven штат 1️⃣ Коннектикут, в этом городке расположен #YaleUniversity, который нас приятно удивил своей архитектурой и количеством разнообразных зданий(225 различных строений), далее был город #Providence , штат 2️⃣ Род-Айленд, вкусно поужинали на площади #depasqualesquare . Этот штат является самыми маленьким штатом США, городок красивый, но местами заброшенный. Далее мы целый день провели, гуляя по Бостону 3️⃣штат Массачусетс, город красивый с историей, здесь построили самый первый университет #Harvard, самую первую публичную библиотеку и парк в США и много чего ещё, вечером на набережной мы увидели катер #NewEnglandWhaleWatch и совершено спонтанно отправились в 4-х часовую экскурсию, чтобы увидеть китов 🐳 в открытом океане. Мы увидели целую стаю китов и один малыш кит был в игривом настроении и выпрыгивал полностью из воды, как сказал наш гид, такое бывает очень редко и мы счастливчики🤗 Вернулись мы в Бостон на закате и увидели один из самых потрясающих видов на #DowntownBoston, а ещё в предверии Дня Независимости был потрясающий салют Это были просто незабываемые эмоции 🥹 Продолжение в комментариях👇🏻

While in Providence we took a stroll through Federal Hill, which is known as Rhode Island’s Little Italy. Of course we had to sample some yummy cannolis from not one, but two different bakeries, @scialobrosbakery and @pasticheri. After a delicious cannoli taste test that resulted in a a tie, we hung out in Depasquale Square, trying to keep the water obsessed Ainsley from jumping in the fountain. But just looking at this picture has me craving more of those cannolis...I think I need to go back to run some further tests. We ordered the sparkling water before seeing the menu.
