I was very grateful to perform officially on stage after almost 1.8 years. ❤️🧿 There were many questions running in my mind while practicing for this.. even though I was practicing for a while for this performance ,a gap of any number of days/months/years is huge for any performer.. For this almost 1.8 period, I wasn't able to practice because of the health, job, hectic schedules and some other personal reasons. Hence stamina had completely gone down, posture for Bharatnatyam dance was gone. Also on the other side.. There was a very high chaos in career life as well, I always wanted to have a career in dance/art fraternity.. but due to personal reasons I worked in other line.. but guess what the passion and the love for dance couldn't keep me away from it. But starting dance career all over again... the decision was tough, to change the stream line of career again and start altogether again from equal to zero, the dilemma was a real struggle.. This was the toughest shot to click as I was supposed to be visible with a proper twirl of my skirt + the whole of Big Ben behind me. My mother literally sat on the walk way with all our luggage beside her and kept taking shots😍🥹. MEET OUR GUESTS // Evan Ambrose (Huntsville, Alabama) Evan Ambrose, is a dancer, teacher, and award-winning choreographer. He was introduced to dance at Grissom High School by Stephanie Braly-Beujter. At the age of 17, Evan enrolled in classes at Soles Dance Center. The following year he began his formal ballet training at 18, with Huntsville Ballet School. He later was invited to join the Charlotte Ballet where he trained with Balanchine legend Patricia McBride and other notable teacher’s, Laszlo Berdo, Mark Diamond, and Jamie Dee Clifton. He attended several summer programs at the Rock School for Dance Education in Philadelphia, PA, before training full time at the school in 2018. The following year, Evan was invited to join Alabama Ballet under the direction of Tracy Alvey and Roger van Fleterenfor two seasons. In 2021, Evan moved cross country to San Francisco to be a founding member of Ballet22, a groundbreaking new company where he performed en pointe in numerous world premiers, and reimagined classical works. While in the Bay Area, Evan was also a Company Artist with Oakland Ballet and a guest artist with San Jose Dance Theatre. He later joined the famed Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, and toured the US. Additionally, Evan has performed as a guest artist with Florida Grand Opera, Ballet Theater of Scranton,, Dzul Dance, iii Points Music Festival, Treefort Music Festival, Palmetto Dance Conservatory, San Francisco Youth Ballet, Verzola Ballet, and San Francisco Dance Festival. His repertoire includes works by choreographers George Balanchine, Agnes de Mille, Rosa MercedesPeter Cheu, Dwight Rhoden, Omar Ramon de Jesus, and Myles Thatcher.
