Lloyd was born in Polworth Saskatchewan in 1913 and began drawing at an early age. He Attended the Vancouver School of Art for a short time. When Word War II began he joined the Canadian Armed Forces and served in England. At the end of the war he returned to England where he remained for nine years. While there he attended classes in various schools of art. It was not until he retired at the age of sixty that he found time to paint in earnest, concentrating on a subject that he enjoyed- life as he had known it on the prairie where he spent his boyhood. He has received considerable success and has had his work in a number of galleries. One painting hangs in the Centennial Auditorium in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
