The main takeaways for me are: - The need for spouses to work together. I liked that the writer said, “If I’m not helping out. Then I’m gisting with her:”👌 Support doesn’t always have to be physical or financial; it can be moral or emotional. - Mums should learn to speak out & communicate their feelings to their spouses. Could you not assume they should know? Some are oblivious or too busy to notice because you appear ‘capable’. Have those difficult conversations with your partner. -Pls outsource if you can (afford). House chores should never be underrated. Before I hired my current nanny, I almost died doing the chores, caring for the kids, taking care of the home & oga & myself. Add my day job to the list. I do this in my home, and I love it because some of my children’s feedback can be very insightful. There are so many things you can address when you hold these meetings because I know that a lot of you are worried about what can be said in the meeting, so don’t be scared. You can talk about chores, what they are doing spiritually, what they are doing emotionally, whether they are playing too much, and their grades; there are no rules. Anything is welcome. Just ensure there’s a feedback system where you allow them to talk and you also speak. Be sure not to use anything said during this meeting to scold them, as this may affect trust.
