Yes! some of our products are organic! 💚 The difference between our organic and non organic products, is that the organic products are grown in certified organic Soil and have certified organic pesticides are used on the plants as they are growing. The non organic products do not have this. 😊 However all our products regardless of organic status are certified to be 100% pure and free from any trace of synthetic ingredients or pesticides. This is something we are extremely strict about, and every batch is tested. 💪 Many farmers and growers find the organic certification to be very expensive, so either their raw materials and/or oils are not certified organic at all, or the organic option is too expensive for us, as we want all our products to be affordable for as many people as possible. We ❤️ answering your questions The answer to this great question is We've had this concern a lot recently from customers and had some great feedback with our Sleep Ease blend - it's a mix of lavender, chamomile, and sweet orange. The lavender and chamomile are very soothing and calming and help reduce anxiety, and the sweet orange is a fantastic oil for lifting the mood. 🍊 I also highly recommend our Happiness blend as a second really great option. It is a cheerful, uplifting aroma blend (less soothing/relaxing - more uplifting) 😀 You can use both these oils in the 10ml pure option and drop some drops on a hanky or sleeve. 🌈 You could also use the roller ball version and apply it to the wrists (or anywhere on the body). Sensory play dough recipe 😀 Want to get creative with the kids? This recipe is perfect to create your own play dough while also getting the therapeutic benefits of essential oils 🌿 What you will need: 250ml Water 120g Flour 4 tbsp Salt 1 tbsp Cream of tarter 1 tbsp vegetable oil Food colouring Essential oils of choice (We recommend lavender, lemon, Roman or Frankincense and sweet orange) All are safe for children.👍 Mix water, flour, salt, cream of tartar and oil in a medium pan until well blended. Cook over medium-low heat while continuously stirring until it forms a thick dough that is no longer sticky. (should take approx 5 mins) Remove dough from pan and place on grease-proof paper to cool for  5 minutes Divide dough into 4 equal pieces.  Make a well into the middle of 1 piece and add approximately 10 drops of food colouring and knead until the colour is blended into the dough. Make a well in the middle again and add approximately 8-10 drops of essential oil and knead again for about 60 seconds. If you find the scent isn't strong enough, then add a few more drops. Repeat these steps with the rest of the pieces of dough We recommend: Orange- Sweet orange essential oil 🍊 Purple- Lavender essential oil 💜 Green- Roman Chamomile or Frankincense essential oil 🌿 Yellow- Lemon essential oil🍋 Store each piece of dough in a jar, zip lock bag, or air-tight container in a cool place or or in a fridge. Meet the team! 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️🦸 Hi! My name's Kane and I'm a warehouse assistant at Amour Natural. 💚 I joined the team in November 2021 and my main job is to work alongside Emily to pick and pack customer and trade orders.  We use biodegradable packaging chips and paper bubble wrap to keep the bottles safe, and I work as fast and as efficiently as possible to get as many parcels boxed up before our courier collects them! 📦🚚 I love listening to dance music whilst we work, and you might find me having a little dance when I’m packing! I’m also really good at eating chocolate biscuits. 🍪🕺 Before Amour Natural, I worked as a customer service agent at Clarks Head Office in Street, my main duties were dealing with customer queries and tracking down lost shoes! 📞👞 In my spare time, I enjoy playing computer games, tinkering with PCs, and spending time with my lovely girlfriend :). Meet the team!  🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️🦸 Hi! My name's Greer and I'm the Labelling Assistant at Amour Natural.  💚 I joined the team in 2021 ,and my job is to label over 20,000 bottles a month! It's a big job, as I do it all by hand and I have to work fast, whilst making sure all the labels are perfectly straight and all in exactly the same position on every bottle. It's very important the bottles and labels look as good as possible! 🏷 I also bring in a steady supply of biscuits and fancy teas to keep us going in the office! My name's Hannah and I'm a warehouse assistant at Amour Natural. 💚 I joined the team in 2015 ,and my main job is in production, as well as office support.🏢🖨 I work alongside Carm, hand-bottling and lidding hundreds of bottles and weighing out all the dry products each month, as well as the monthly stock takes with the rest of the warehouse team. ⚖️🧫 I also look after lots of admin jobs including processing trade orders for Faye and organising DHL, and I do some of the bigger administration jobs such as record management and data cleansing. There's a big craze at the moment in regards to Rosemary being great for hair growth and general hair care. 🌿 We have had a massive increase in our Rosemary oil sales, so we thought we would share this simple recipe. 😀 Add 50 drops of our 100% pure Rosemary oil to 100ml of castor or argan oil and pop the lid on and give it a shake. Apply the oil to the roots and massage into the scalp. Digestion support 😏 From Claire: 🌈 " I have mentioned several times that peppermint is my favourite oil, this may sound boring to some but to me it is an essential to my life! I unfortunately suffer with IBS and even though I know my triggers and try to keep on top of it best I can, I still get the occasional flare up.  What I find really helps me alongside my wheat bag (bear or sheep? i've never really figured it out!) is sweet almond oil and peppermint oil. I mix 2 tables spoons (30ml) with 9 drops of peppermint oil into a ramekin or one of the many Gu pudding jars from in my cupboard, I then massage clockwise into my abdomen and my lower back. If it is bedtime I do the same with Migracalm which is peppermint and lavender as this helps with my cramps and also to aid my sleep " 😴 Other oils that can be used in addition to the peppermint are ginger for cramping and black pepper and ginger for constipation. 🍑💨 More information about this can be found in our book "At Home with Aromatherapy" 📖 Do you have any recipes or remedies you would like to share? My name's Emily and I'm a warehouse supervisor at Amour Natural 💚 I was the first ever employee at Amour Natural I joined in 2014, and after a few years I left to have my third child & decided to take some extra time off after my maternity to spend time with my youngest. 🥇👩‍🍼 I was then lucky enough to come back to the Amour Natural team which had grown a lot but it felt like I had never left. 😀 My job is to supervise the picking and packing of all the trade and online orders. I pick and label orders (alongside Kane), and check they are all correct, whilst supporting James to ensure things run smoothly and efficiently in the warehouse. 📦👍 My daily objective is to get all the orders packed correctly and despatched as quickly as possible - I love the challenge! I also bring in a steady supply of hobnobs to keep the team going. 🍪😂 Fun fact: I went to college with James and used to help him do his homework, and we’ve been friends ever since. The answer to @adriantodd725 s question: All our essential oils are steam distilled, with the exception of the citrus oils which are cold pressed - apart from lime essential oil which is steam distilled (this makes the lime safe to use on skin exposed to sunlight) The only exceptions to this is the 2 absolutes we have, jasmine absolute and rose absolute. If you check out each listing on our website it also tells you how our oils are produced (there are a few gaps as this is currently being updated and we are getting a new website built so it will soon be much easier to use and more informative!). The difference between our organic and non organic, is that the organic oils are grown in certified organic Soil and have certified organic pesticides used on the plants as they are growing. The non organic oils do not have this. However all our oils regardless of organic status are certified to be 100% pure and free from any trace of synthetic ingredients or pesticides. This is something we are extremely strict about, and every batch is tested. My name's James, I'm the other co-founder and owner of Amour Natural (alongside my wife Faye) ❤️ We started Amour Natural in Bristol, working out of our spare bedroom, and then moved to a warehouse in Glastonbury 8 years ago, which is close to where I grew up and went to college. 💚 My job is to look after the warehouse and oversee the picking and despatch of orders.
