Hi Peeps! I hope you’ve been enjoying my posts this May of “1983 The Music”, as I showcase some on my selected 45s issued across Australia during the period ! You might ask? When and how did 45s become a thing for me? 🤔.. The answer is easy, it all started with the compilation albums.. and moved on from there, it’s a rabbit hole I admit 😉.. I’ve posted 4 of my favourite compilations issued in 1983. Please note, the respective record companies above in each group, had agreements with each other to compile songs for these albums, with only one taking the lead as distributor of the work. In the example above, it was CBS, PolyGram (under Polystar), or Festival. This remained mostly consistent throughout the 80s.
