🌮 Happy #tacotuesday - Epcot style! La Cantina de San Angel || ЕРСОТ || Mexico || World Showcase For the first time… I ordered myself a kids meal at Epcot! I had the (2) grilled chicken soft tacos on homemade corn tortillas, tortilla chips with nacho cheese, pre-packaged apple slices and a small Coke. All for $9.50 💃🏻 This was PLENTY of food for me, especially since I enter World Showcase in Canada and snacked along the way to Mexico 🤣 They have a great variety of popular Mexican food & drinks like tacos de barbacoa, empanadas con queso and guacamole, along with treats like churros and traditional fruit popsicles. Draft beers, margaritas and Mexican sodas are served here too. This location offers quick service with ample seating overlooking World Showcase Lagoon. Have you done this kids meal hack at Disney? The Disney value resorts are honestly my favorite! Let’s be real, as a local spending the night, it’s just a bed & shower before you’re off to the parks! They are always clean, comfortable and scenic. The themed sections are great for photo ops, especially if you bound to match! Had a blast riding in the famous amphicar around Lake Buena Vista after lunch Tuesday @theboathouseorlando! The Captain Guided tour was a unique experience and tons of fun! The model 770 is a real working Amphicar capable of achieving speeds of 7 knots in the water and 70 mph on land. My favorite toy and I- oh I mean my friend- dined at Roundup Rodeo BBQ at Disney Hollywood Studios and had a freaking (Pixar) ball! So much to see, especially if you’re a big Toy Story fan like I am! Pixar eye candy galore! The servers are very interactive, especially when Ham or Jessie get on the loudspeaker and announce Sid is coming! All the wait staff FREEZES as to not get noticed by Sid! When they announce the coast is clear, you may resume your interactions again! The food was actually REALLY good! It’s an “all you care to eat” menu with popular bbq offerings like brisket, sausage, chicken, ribs. Before the carnivorous platter of barbecue deliciousness comes out, your server brings warm luscious cheddar biscuits and three salads- watermelon salad, cucumber salad and a house salad. You also get to pick four sides for your table, we chose corn on the cob, loaded tater tots, grilled vegetables and baked beans. Fountain drinks come with your meal as does jarred desserts! The chocolate cupcake with Forkie was definitely not trash!! This was the most fun interactive Disney dinning experience thus far and I highly recommend snagging a reservation on your next Disney trip. We planned to only visit #HollywoodStudios for dinner but arrived early to ride Toy Story Mania and get some fun pics before dinner! I’ll admit this was probably the “least best” food of all of our Disney dines so far, in my opinion. But the theme, atmosphere and vibe was still filled with that grandiose Disney magic we all know and love ♥️ The Sci-Fi Dine In Theater is a replica of a 1950s drive-in movie theater. Complete with tables that look exactly like old Studebakers and Chevys, typical 50s fair like onion rings & milkshakes, sassy servers and sci-fi movie clips, including some with Walt Disney showing off a futuristic robot. It’s fun to get a glimpse into life back in the 50s and nibble on classics like burgers & fries but there’s really nothing spectacular about the menu. You would be visiting here solely for the flare. This is very Disneyesque, old Americana and touristy all rolled into one. I definitely think you should visit here at least once. It would not be a restaurant you need to go back to often like Liberty Tree Tavern for the turkey & stuffing, or for the juicy fried chicken at Primetime Café! 🌐 Decided to drive out to #Epcot last night after work (Friday night, east bound on i4, is not for the faint of heart!) ‼️ It was my first solo trip there and I would definitely do it again. It’s hard to feel alone with thousands of happy park goers surrounding you and the welcoming Disney magic! I only had a few hours there and fading daylight but I made the most of it! I reserved my #Figment popcorn bucket when I parked, grabbed my new Passholder magnet, enjoyed browsing some of the art booths, caught a few sneak peeks at the topiary’s & flowers for the upcoming Flower and Garden Festival, snacked on a few festival food essentials and enjoyed a sit down dinner & and show in the Germany Pavilion at the #Biergarten! Our lunch at Satu’li Canteen during our most recent visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom was a completely immersive trip to Pandora – The World of Avatar 🩵 The long waitlist confirms that this quick service restaurant offers great quality, delicious food and drinks similar to the pricier sit down Disney dines. We ordered ahead on the Disney app and browsed the nearby Windtraders gift shop until we received a notification that our food was ready! Still highly themed, plenty of a/c and a good amount of clean indoor seating. After lunch we strolled through the Valley of Mo’ara and enjoyed the floating mountains, and the very life like fauna & flora! My fun and informative New Week, New Farm series continues this week with a visit to my closest (open to the public) farm - Three Sons Farms. They host a variety of UPicks year round including sunflowers, zinnias and currently, strawberries. The UPick strawberries are currently on par with the other farms at $3 a pound. They are one of the few that will charge you $1 for a container, so bring your own. As with all the local strawberry farms you can purchase popular snacks and eat them under the covered porch. I purchased a strawberry shake and a slice of strawberry pizza. 2 very sought after farm stand snacks in my neck of the woods! They have branded tees & hats, fresh produce, honey, cold drinks and gluten free baked goods for sale in their market. I pulled in right at opening (9am) on Saturday morning and within 15 minutes the front lot was full. It is no secret - I love Disney table-service restaurants! I have not eaten at one where I was disappointed, the aesthetics, themes, service and food have all been worth the price tag. The Disney dining experience always exceeds my expectations!! My Disney bestie and I recently ate at 50’s Prime Time Café in Hollywood Studios. Classic American comfort food, 50s kitsch and a good old-fashioned family gathering take you back to a bygone era. A sassy hostess seats you at Mom’s retro Formica table with classic vinyl chairs and a black-and-white tv playing clips from popular prime-time shows circa 1955. Your long lost “cousin” is your server and assertively warns you not to put your elbows on the table and asks if you washed your hands after using the bathroom! But if you’re good, you’re allowed to watch TV while eating lunch/dinner!
