Have you ever wondered how your dental team can create crowns, mouthguards, and dentures that fit the teeth so accurately? It's all because dental professionals are able to produce an exact replica—sometimes called a model or dental cast—of a patient's teeth and gums. The model is traditionally made out of plaster or a harder stone-like material. The dentist or technician will build the mouthguard, crown, or other appliance directly onto the model, ensuring it will fit the teeth with great precision. The first step in making the model is to make an impression of the patient's teeth. To make the impression, the dentist fills a tray with impression material - a soft paste that will harden to a rubbery consistency around the teeth within a minute or two. This process creates an imprint of the teeth and gums. Once the impression has been removed from the mouth and sanitised, a member of the dental team or a laboratory technician will pour liquid plaster or stone into the mould. When the plaster sets, the mould is removed, producing an exact replica of the teeth and gums. Dentists use different impression materials and techniques for different purposes. The model can be used - for diagnostic purposes. The dentist or specialist can look at the patient's teeth from all angles without the patient needing to be present - to make a well-fitting crown, bridge, inlay, onlay, or veneer - to make a well-fitting denture - to make a custom sports mouthguard or occlusal splint - to plan restorative, cosmetic, and orthodontic treatments. RRD MEETING Y30 !! Aún sigo con la resaca del RRD Internatinal Meeting Y30 !! Han sido días muy intensos, con muchas emociones, poco sueño y mucho trabajo, pero ha sido realmente inolvidable. Volver a vernos tod@s los distribuidores, fabricantes, escuelas, riders y compañeros de RRD después de los años del Cv19, ha sido brutal, y @roberto_ricci1 nos ha vuelto a sorprender con una colección Y30 rompedora, con más tecnología y evolución que nunca. Por la mañana teníamos 4 o 5 horas de presentación de materiales de la nueva colección, la cual he tenido el honor de proyectar desde mi móvil a la TV para tod@s los asistentes, con lo que tube que estar 100% concentrado y atento a cada una de las palabras de Roberto para seguir su exposición, y acompañarle cuando te daba pie, en mi caso fue con la Cotan, ya que soy el rider que más la ha usado desde su creación , usando todas sus versiones y modelos y haciendo las fotos para la web. Por la tarde ibamos tod@s locos al agua a probar todo lo posible, aunque el día del kite, los riders tuvimos que atender, cuidar y dar cometas a todos los que estaban locos por probar los kites. A la cena, ya sabéis, buen ambiente, cervezas, cachondeo y charlas con tanto apasionado del Mar y del viento, que era imposible parar. El resultado, uno de los mejores eventos desde que estoy en RRD, que fue a ya por el 2012 💆♂️ !! Estoy loco por poder presentaros, grabar, fotografiar y volar con una de las más grandes y brutales novedades que RR y @werthercastelletti que se han sacado de la chistera y va a volver loco al mercado y a todo el que la pruebe. While I was in Sardinia, I met this absolute legend. Back in December last year, he was snorkeling in QLD when he was attacked by a shark. He ended up loosing his leg below the knee. I got to have some great chats with him and I asked what he was up to in Sardinia. He said that he was learning to Kitesurf before the last surgery on his leg. Spending a short time with him has taught me to live life to the fullest.
