When we were shooting the HW Dog cap from yesterday's post, we decided to get the boss to go full-on Smurf mode. Top-to-toe indigo! And the toe part were these here PRAS hand-dyed indigo Shell Cap Low Sneakers. The Shellcap Low draws its inspiration from timeless sneakers and deck shoes. Crafted with Hanpu Cotton Canvas upper from Kojima, meticulously woven on traditional looms exclusively for PRAS. Enhanced stability is provided by the vulcanized sole, which forms a robust bond with the fabric, ensuring durability and preventing the sole separating from the upper. At the factory in Kurume, the shoes undergo vulcanization, a meticulous process involving heating to over 100 degrees Celsius for approximately an hour while being subjected to pressure. This factory, with a legacy spanning nearly 150 years, upholds this time-honored yet enduring method. Thos model goes through the extra step of being hand-dyed with indigo.
