I went for an evening walk. A short one because it was already kind of late after all. And I am a bit sick. And my ankle hurts. "Yeah, let's make it short" I realized that the "short loop" I chose wasn't actually that short. "Ok, at least let's make it quick then" And then I saw the world around me and I just couldn't go home. I didn't want to. It's hard to put in words. Fascinating. Mesmerizing. Breathtaking and breathgiving at the same time. The view of the water flowing in the river, with so many structures and so many colors. The colours that are undescribable in a very familiar way because I've already seen some of them in the winter, on the snowy rooftops and branches shimmering in the barely existing daylight. And as I almost cried, standing on the very same bridge in December, saying goodbye to the few sunbeams I managed to catch at 11a.m., I almost cried today, still enjoying the daylight at 11p.m., saying goodbye to the ice pieces drifting away. Sorry pamiętniczku, że Cię olałem na kilka dni, ale byłem zajęty zachwytami nad Laponią! Surową, nieprzewidywalną, spokojną, dziką. Tyle skrajności! Bo tutaj pyszne jedzenie w fensi restauracji, a potem spanie przed zamkniętym barem (wakajki do końca maja no to zamknięte) 100km dalej bez opcji na rozbicie namiotu. Nie wszystkie drogi są jednak przejezdne - dzisiejsza runda honorowa zaprowadziła mnie do kurortu narciarskiego. Odległość między otwartymi sklepami przy moim szlaku? Prawie 200 km. Ale za to jaka nawigacja prosta - za 169 km skręć w prawo 🙂 Dzisiaj, z lasu wybiegły na drogę dwa renifery. I tak sobie dreptały przede mną z kilometr zatrzymując się co jakiś czas i spoglądając, czy nadążam. Inari Pokka Sirkka Finlandia nie chce mnie wypuścić.
