🙉 Overheard at Disneyland: “Those canoes run on a track, right? People don’t actually have to paddle do they?” The (wrong) answer provided was: “It’s probably a track.” 😑 🛶😅 I assure you, the Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes are NOT guided by a track and you do have to paddle your way (along with some new friends) around the Rivers of America. Because of this, be sure anyone going on this adventure is up for the the physical exertion and has no mobility issues. That said, this classic (and so very Walt Disney) attraction offers incredible views of Frontierland and Critter Country while providing a serene break from the theme park action. Just maybe opt to explore Disneyland’s “wilderness” as early as you can on a summer day-there is no shade out there! ☀️☀️☀️ 🤔What do you say? MARATHON MONDAY: You have registered for the race. You’ve booked your hotel (hopefully…if not reach out!!!). Now what? It is too soon to “officially” start training…but you can start building a strong foundation. Most training plans are anywhere from 16-20 weeks long which means training won’t kick into high gear until late summer/early fall. I am going to use this time to build up my weekly miles. Monday's Magical Must Do Today's must do is such a blast at Animal Kingdom. This is a self-guided activity where you can collect over 25 badges and learn all about animals and wilderness skills. The park is full of stations with the Wilderness Explorer symbol where you work with cast members to learn. The book is full of fun activities. The best part is, it never expires! We did quite a few of them on our last trip and plan to do the rest on our next trip. This took us to areas we had never explored before. It was such a blast. How many times have you ever watched fireworks from your hotel balcony??? This was a Water View room at Disney’s Yacht Club and those are the fireworks from EPCOT. We had dinner at Via Napoli and then we grabbed desserts in the France pavilion on the way back to the hotel. This resort is just a short walk or boat ride from the back entrance of EPCOT. I got to experience this lounge on my last trip for the first time and I now know it will be an every trip must do!
