In observance of World Immunization Week, ISRN hosted an awareness cum educational drawing competition for children aged 6 to 15 years at the Madhya Pratapgarh UPHC in Agartala, Tripura. Nineteen children, accompanied by their parents or guardians, took part in the event. The program was organized in collaboration with staff of UPHC Madhya Pratapgarh, including the Medical Officer In-charge, Medical Office, ASHAs, AWWs, and JSI team.
During the event, an awareness session was also organized emphasizing the significance of Routine Immunization and the advantages of timely vaccination, encouraging the children to become Vaccine Ambassadors to enhance vaccine coverage. Subsequently, a drawing competition allowed children to creatively illustrate the importance of vaccination. Trophies were awarded to the top three participants, while consolation prizes were given to remaining children for their participation.
Under MOMENTUM Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity Project, ISRN is working towards amplifying the government’s immunization drive in Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura.
