It has been forever and a day since I managed to post a picture for #wetsoapwednesday This is a restock of our Rosehip facial bar. I made a few changes to some of the added ingredients. Weโve added Brazilian Gold Clay and did a full water replacement with fresh sheepโs milk. Itโs VERY lightly scented with sweet orange essential oil and contains not only virgin organic rosehip oil but powdered rosehip as well. The first time I made this one, I was terrified! I know that green can sometimes morph, but I still had a fear that it wouldnโt changeโฆbut, it always does! ๐ This horrific green turned into a lovely sage! On this #wetsoapwednesday I tried a fragrance from a candle company not knowing how it would perform in soap. I had a great idea for the look and was going to save the cut for tomorrow, but the cut is just meh in my opinion to where I may be remaking it but not sure yet. The fragrance is a sweet tea fragrance, and it smells heavenly! What came to my mind was country living and sitting on the front porch looking at a sunset while sipping sweet tea. Not too elaborate, right? ๐ ๐ After a lot of debate of how to represent this look, I decided to go with the one-pot-swirl technique with 7 different colors/layers. After mixing all the colors, the white layer was the only one that got thick, and it kinda took over the entire soap and ran through layers it shouldnโt be in. This bar was the best one out of the 12, so Iโm left wondering if I should try again to achieve my desired look. I only have 2 summer shows left, so I donโt want to be stuck with unsold bars. I may try again next year. Do you love the smell of sweet tea, or is it a hard pass for you?
