I was too busy partying last month to make a post, but we turned 33 in April! My twin @glowy.by.zoei and I like to choose different ways to celebrate! For my celebration we went to @mavencinemas to watch one of my favorite movies Howls Moving Castle. For her celebration we had a spa day @fikareflexbar it was so relaxing!! This about sums it up! I remember when we found out we were having twins we were in complete shock!! As most of you likely know by now, the pregnancy itself was a complete and total shock for us so to find out it was twins was simply mind blowing. Life changing. In every way. Where our minds went immediately were all the crazy logistics - two cribs, two car seats, two strollers or a double stroller, two times the diapers, two times the messes .... two! We were in shock. What we didn’t anticipate is how “one” they would also be. One little unit. Besties and buddies. Two personalities but one pair. Watching a human grow from birth is a pleasure and a gift and a special experience every parent understands. Watching two grow from birth with a literal shared experience all day every day is something truly special. We get to watch each of them as individuals — Ivy’s unconfined energy and enthusiasm and Jack’s creativity and persistence, Ivy’s spunk and independence and Jack’s tender little heart. But we also get to watch them, as a unit, growing and building a bond that is already unbreakable. The way they play together, their little imaginations, the way they are learning to share and respect boundaries from a really young age, the giggles until late late at night when they aren’t sleeping, the way they support each other. They’ll fight of course and have real big emotions with each other — punching, hitting, crying and getting jealous as you would expect from two toddlers who share everything morning to night. But they are the first to jump to defend or help when one is in trouble. And when they go to sleep at night and Ivy says “I love you buddy” and Jack says “Good night H-ivy, I love you too” or when one of them reaches over and pats the other’s back, or someone gives someone a toy and the other one says “awww that’s so niiice” ... my heart melts. 2023 ~~ the year I became a GRANDMA to two amazing twin boys!!!!🥰🥰 I am s o o o o o in love!! And yes, v e r y distracted haha. Six months of the b e s t distraction! ❤️❤️ Now I’m hoping to get back on track with my pottery life AND spend as much time as possible with these little cuties! As for the “twin” turtles… These were fired a couple of months before I found out about the boys. Normally I would attach these turtles to a box lid or trinket dish but I fired them separately for some reason, and I also decided not to sell them right away.
