En général, ce qui ressemble de près ou de loin à un parc d'attraction, ce n'est vraiment pas notre truc, mais là on a craqué! Les décors de western qui nous rappellent de vieux souvenirs de soirées télé des années 90 ont eu raison de nous. Les mises en scène de saloon et attaque de banque ont plus ou moins réussi à nous transporter dans cet univers mais au final, on préfère se faire nos propres films en déambulant dans les décors qui font bien illusion en plein désert des Tabernas. TRAVEL PLANS 💫🖤 Last night I had a travel planning evening with my sister (my favourite kind of evenings) and we booked the last of our flights for this summer ✈️ This summer it’s going to be: Albania, Spain and New York 🇦🇱🇪🇸🇺🇸!!! Being a teacher, all the term time struggles are worth it for six whole weeks off in the summer! Teaching is suchhhh a hard job, most of us are very overworked and underpaid (you won’t know unless you know) but my god… there aren’t many other careers where you can have PROPER time to travel every single summer. I utilise my school holidays to the absolute max and so far this year I have been to: Bulgaria (Sofia), France (Paris), Spain (Barcelona) and Iceland in my school hols. But the MAIN EVENT is the SUMMER 💘💘💘💘💘 Current thoughts are: 🇦🇱 Albania: Tirana, Bovilla lakes, Gjirokaster and Ksamil (any suggestions, let me know!) 🇪🇸 Spain: my parents live in the middle of the countryside in the South of Spain so I go to visit them a couple times each year. It’s literally in the middle of nowhere so it’s a whole dreamy lot of sunbathing, walking, spotting wildlife and sunsets 🌅 🇺🇸 New York: I’ve never been to the US before (it hadn’t really appealed to me in the past to be honest) but I’m soo excited to wander around the streets of NY and pretend I’m in a movie. It’s my 30th birthday this summer and I wanted to be abroad to celebrate 💘 I’m going with my boyfriend and he’s a city boy through and through so it’s not easy for us to find a place that we’re both equally excited for!! When we found cheap flights to New York it was an easy choice as it’s got things that we will both LOVE! The photos were taken in the Andalusian desert Tabernas, which has been the production site for a large number of western films, and the religious world of the Catalan monastery of Montserrat, the site of Marian apparitions and alleged supernatural phenomena like UFO sightings. Avec le désert des Tabernas, c'est tout un imaginaire qui s'ouvre à vous ! Décor de western mais aussi le décor de toutes les rêveries possibles pour qui aime les espaces sauvages et ça tombe bien, c'est notre cas. C'est ici qu'on été tournés un certain nombre de western spaghetti et de nombreux autres films ou séries (comme Lawrence d'Arabie ou Game of Thrones). En voyant ce genre de western quand j'étais petite, j'étais fascinée par les paysages qui défilaient à l'écran alors ce n'est pas sans émotion que je les découvre! Au détour de ces formations rocheuses, on se plaît donc à imaginer des indiens qui nous observent en haut des falaises et des cowboys qui chevauchent leurs montures dans un nuage de poussière.
