The ability to have an interest in the arts and work with music while still getting a amazing academic education! Favorite LP memory: Getting to go to District Orchestra and having my friend Irish jig for me. SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: We’re continuing our series celebrating our Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School Music Department Class of 2024! 🎓 Name: Logan Rosepiler, percussion LP Music Ensembles: Percussion Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble, Orchestra, Symphonic Band, House Band, and Ensemble Immersion What drew you to Lincoln Park's Music Department? I am a musician and I am a Midland resident. It was the perfect opportunity! Favorite LP memory: Making friends with the same interests & getting the opportunity to perform on a regular basis! Plans after graduation from LP: I'm attending Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee to study Music Business . I hope to be a studio musician and have the opportunity to perform regularly. Advice for future LP music students: Practice all the time, put yourself out there, & remember that your character plays a big part in your career as well! Congratulations, Logan! Delain’s story is curious, the band was formed by the former keyboardist of Within T. Westerholt, this contract with the soprano Charlotte Wessels (I love her) they were the only official members of the band, and what they did was record with session musicians, contacting to several artists already known within the field of gothic and metal music, to be able to collaborate with this project, among whom are: Marco Hietala (Nightwish) on vocals and bass; Arien van Weesenbeek (God Dethroned) on drums; Ad Sluijter (Epica), Guus Eikens (Orphanage) and Jan Yrlund (Imperia) on guitars. And among the collaborating voices (apart from Marco himself), there are: Sharon Den Adel (Within Temptation), Liv Kristine (Leaves Eyes) and George Oosthoek (Orphanage) and those who became part of the band were Rob Van Der Loo (bass), Sander Zoer (drums), Ronald Landa (guitar, second vocals), and Ray Van Lente (guitar) Well now you know something more about this band. The Elmhurst University Music Department is proud to announce that Dr. Adam Kehl will be joining the faculty as the new Director of Bands beginning Fall 2024. Dr. Kehl comes to Elmhurst University with a wide range of teaching, conducting, and research experiences, in which he has made a positive impact on his students, colleagues, and the profession. Dr. Kehl's responsibilities at Elmhurst University include conducting the Wind Ensemble, teaching classes in music education and conducting, and administering all aspects of the band program. “Dr. Kehl has an interest in maintaining the history and legacy of the exemplary band tradition at Elmhurst University, while simultaneously advancing the band program with an eager vision of potential and opportunity. Dr. Kehl embodies an approach to conducting pedagogy that is unique and innovative, and will complement our existing rigorous conducting sequence.” -Deborah Peot, Director of Music Education-Elmhurst University Prior to his appointment at Elmhurst University, Dr. Kehl most recently served as the Associate Director of Bands at the University of Hawai'i. He also has served as the Director of Bands at Elon University in North Carolina, and began his collegiate teaching career as a co-conductor of the University Band at the University of South Carolina. Dr. Kehl's bands have performed in both China and Italy. Dr. Kehl earned both a Bachelor’s of Music in Music Education and a Bachelor’s of Music in Percussion Performance from the University of Oregon. He then taught at John W. North High school in Riverside California where he grew the program to include three concert bands, marching band, percussion class, AP music theory, pep bands, percussion ensemble, chamber winds, jazz band, indoor drumline and color guard, and pit orchestra for musical theater productions. After his time at North High School, he went on to complete his Master’s of Music in Wind Conducting at the University of New Mexico where he graduated with Distinction. Dr. Kehl completed his Doctorate of Musical Arts in Conducting from the University of South Carolina where he studied conducting with Eric Rombach-Kendall and Dr. Scott Weiss.

Yesterwynde describes a feeling that cannot be found in any human language. That's why we had to invent a whole new word. The album is supposed to open that feeling to the listener. Without taking anything away from the solid delivery of guitarist Emppu Vuorinen, drummer Kai Hahto, bassist Jukka Koskinen and multi-instrumentalist/singer Troy Donockley, it might be worth highlighting one fact: the performance of the eloquent storyteller Floor Jansen is once again unparalleled. It is simply breathtaking how the singer is able to make songs fly with her performance. "Floor's second child was born just over a month ago, and we hadn't rehearsed together at all... So it was a little nerve-wracking to go to Floor's home studio for vocal recordings. Well, what happened? We had booked twelve working days and after six days everything was completed in style. Floor's preparedness for the sessions was something extreme!" After the recordings and mixing process, there was one more working phase. Mastering. Could you possibly guess that no shortcuts were taken at this point either? "The album was mastered seven times until we reached the finish line – one hundred percent satisfied!", states Tuomas. "When the record was eventually finished, a three-year, extremely inspiring adventure had come to an end. 第28回 #定期演奏会 振り返り 🎼第3部 吹奏楽ステージ 第3部は、定演では久々の登場となる吹奏楽コンクールの衣装に身を包み、今回のスペシャルゲスト：西牧岳先生との共演からスタート！ モーツァルト作曲の「ファゴット協奏曲 変口長調 K.191」とスパーク作曲の「ウインド・イン・ザ・リーズ」の古典と現代の作曲家によるファゴットコンチェルトをお聴きいただきました♪ 中々生で聴くことのできないファゴットと吹奏楽の協奏曲でしたが、西牧先生の絶品な音に部員も引き込まれていました✨ なんと西牧先生は顧問の竹内先生の大学での同級生だそうです！ そのあとはオリンピックイヤーを記念して「オリンピックテーマ曲メドレー」と「レ・ミゼラブル」を演奏。 アンコールは再び西牧先生のソロで美空ひばりの「愛燦燦」を演奏し定演を締め括りました🫶 最後になりますが、今回の経験を糧にこれからも部員一丸となって成長していきたいと思いますので、引き続き出雲北陵高等学校吹奏楽部をよろしくお願い致します！ #出雲北陵 #出雲北陵高校吹奏楽部 #吹奏楽 #吹奏楽部 #マーチング #ファゴット #バスーン #symphonicband #windensemble #windorchestra #brassband #windband #marching #marchingband #fagott #basoon
