Oh how I would love to be able to wear dresses and skirts more than a few weeks in a year without freezing. Midi dresses just won't feel right in winter season (not to me that is). But this is a lovely lilac dress from last summer, cotton and linen blend - did you know that linen production is a quite complicated thing to do, and the fashion industry uses linen too much these years, hence the linen with cotton or lyocell tms mixes every brand I follow has, few years back garments were 100% linen even with brands like H&M. I wanted to grow my own linen but backed out of it because I don't have the resources to make it to a fiber and then yarn and to weave fabric, but it was a great way to realize how much more I should have respect for my clothes. What a beautiful day yesterday was!! I still can’t believe how lucky we’ve been with the weather for our week off work ☀️❤️ it has been exactly what we needed, at exactly the right time 🥰 This look is pretty different for me, but when I found these linen/cotton embroidered Zara trousers for £3 in my local Armed Forces Support, I knew I had to bring them home! They are sooooo pretty and sooooo comfortable and they were perfect for the hot weather yesterday! The shirt is also a Zara linen number, and I think it’s my most worn item of spring so far. I’ve worn it 3 times already this week and so many times previously. I actually have two of them, one in a large and one in a small so I can choose whether I want an oversized or fitted look!
