Charity shop finds from Spalding ❤️ It was lovely to have a little wander round Spalding and find some treasures. The set of plant pots were from @woodgreen_spalding and will be perfect for some new plants my Mum bought me recently. The smaller plant pot was from The Butterfly Hospice - I saw a for sale sign in the window, I hope the store isn’t closing as it’s one of my favourites to visit. The leopard print tee was from @sense_spalding - I always find nice things in that shop. All the books were from the lovely @shopwithsueryder bookshop. A member of staff kindly left me a voicemail while I was in Sweden to say they had a new donation of Observer books - it was great to find some more to add to my collection. Ran the Bristol half marathon! 🏃🏻♀️ Got complacent after running a full marathon last year and didn’t train or prepare… cue the hardest and slowest 21.1kms of my life (2.15.59), in clothes I hadn’t washed from my last run, and with an uncharged watch that died halfway round. I also seem to have a knack for running in the hottest weather? Ten degrees cooler than the marathon, but still nowhere near comfortable. That being said, it was beyond lush to run in my hometown with my dad, with our family there to cheer us on. #Sillamäe was so-so nice. Quiet, definitely, but oh so beautiful with so much potential. The promenade along the sea was gorgeous and full of things to do. The main square of the city had the prettiest buildings that would cost a fortune and then some if they'd be, for example, in Tallinn. Old buildings with so much effort put in details and decorations. Some in need of renovation, but still. So many avenues with tall majestic trees on both sides. And the sea. It was my works Spring Ball last night, it was held at a beautiful venue in the countryside. I’ve got a touch of a sore head today but it was such a lovely evening!! I absolutely loved my outfit in the end, I had a lot going on with all the accessories but sometimes more is more! Whole outfit is secondhand. I bought the linen dress from Vinted for £7.00, but the top half was too big and I hated the way the neckline was high cut and the straps also were adjustable with buttons which was far too casual. So I took it to my local tailor who was able to get it just the way I wanted for £35.00. I personally think that is a great price and means I’ll love this dress for years to come now ❤️ The linen blazer was a @redcrossretail find for £4.00 last year. Belt was a @thrift_plus_uk find from several years ago and was a tenner. Sandals were bought from @sensecharity for about £3 and they were brand new!
