Something I started a few weeks ago to help me relax before I go to bed and induce sleep is 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. ⁣ ⁣ If you know me, my mind is always racing and thinking about one thing or another. Whether it’s reviewing the days events, figuring out what’s on my to-do list for the next day, what I’m going to wear to work, did I pack the kids breakfast, the list can go on and on. ⁣ ⁣ I didn’t think it would work but I 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘥 it anyways. Well, it works. 💤19th March marks World sleep day 🛌 World Sleep Day aims to consider and aid those who have sleep problems. It is useful for educating people all over the world about the importance of sleep, as well as changing the way people view and experience sleep by giving them valuable resources to help them in their daily lives. World Sleep Day focuses on various issues related to sleep, sleep medicine, education about sleep, and the social effects that sleep deprivation can have on everyday life. From mild to severe, sleep difficulties are a modern problem that may have the ability to hijack people’s entire lives if not kept in check. Organized by the World Sleep Day Committee of the World Sleep Society, this day began with a group of health professionals and providers who were studying in the area of sleep medicine and sleep research. World Sleep Day aims to bring people together, whether everyday people or healthcare providers, to discuss sleep problems, help find solutions, and prevent sleep problems for those who don’t yet have them. So how can you celebrate world sleep day and combats bad sleep issues 💤Take a nap 🪥Practise sleep hygiene 🛌Fixed bed time and wake time 🏃‍♀️Exercise ☕Cut back on caffeine and stimulants 😴Give at least 30 mins for a bedtime routine and self care 📴Unplug 60 mins before sleep 🧘‍♀️Practise some gentle yoga and/or meditation I thought I would share with you my relaxing bedtime routine again in honour of world sleep day.
