Sanative Saturday, Witches & Warlocks. Today, we awoke long before the sun rose, to the strangled echoes of our witchling, attempting to clear her throat, of any lingering sickies still hiding in her body, after more than a full week’s worth of home remedies & witchy cures to clear her sinuses of the cold she picked up from playing with her cousin only once this entire holiday season. Its been 2 weeks since she was seen by a doctor without receiving any medical treatment, 3 weeks of herbal teas, & so many simmer pots, honestly we’re nearly out of ingredients. To say her cold is still lingering feels drastically out of place, when every single other member of our household has already found a sense of solace & rest. While we 3 haven’t had a decent night’s sleep in nearly a month straight, & honestly it’s wearing us so thin we can barely think. So as we mix up tonight’s end of the night sinus clearing remedies before tucking her in for another restless sleep, please pardon us for being brief but honestly we don’t have much energy left for mincing words or waxing eloquently. Catch up on a holiday post I meant to make (sorry) 😬 This is a painting I did for a holiday card we sent out this season (swipe to see card and process). The idea of the walrus was a brainchild of my partner’s. He was obsessed with the idea of seeing their tusks decorated with x-mas lights, so I tried to realize that vision. ❄️ Cards are a lot of work, I don’t think I’ll make it a yearly habit, but it was a fun project nevertheless. I might explore selling packs of these next year though if there is interest. The printing turned out pretty nice.
