back from a small hiatus to upload yet another love poem 😌 this is a bit about finding a safe, secure love and relationship as a traumatised person with a history of severe attachment issues. speaks for itself really. text reads: “people said it would be boring: when i finally found it. after all the drama, the hurt and the pain. after the years spent out in the rain, frozen, begging for a crumb. after past loves who would sink their teeth where it hurt most and discard me into torrents which threatened to swallow me whole. after all that, people said safety might end up feeling stale. but i am alive. i beat to their heart. each moment lights a path i thought long collapsed in by mountains of agonies etched into veins, mountains built after so many scorched my softest parts. but now in their eyes and their arms i swim in moments that catch in my throat and spill me over into ecstasy. i am enthralled, captivated. touched by words and touches and gestures so careful and true they light matches to a flame that burns slow and long. i am alight with a love that never wavers, even when my best self falters.” #sapphicwriters #sapphicwriting #sapphiclove #lovepoetry #queerpoetry #queerpoems #instapoet #sapphicwritersonline #translove #transpoet #poetrycommunity #poetrylovers #poetrycorner
