One of my favourite prints is also tattooed on my body. Literally but not really. The words "Let it be" are tattooed on my arm, but in my grandmothers handwriting and completely unrelated to the song. Those were some of her last words before she passed. It's been a while, so allow me to introduce myself. I'm Kristy and I've been an artist my whole life. I started making sound wave art in 2014 when I was doing my fine art degree. It all started with a sound wave silkscreen print. I have always been sensitive to sound and have a love for music. You'll see that most of my sound wave art pieces incorporate music. Today I go back into work to get situated for the new school year. I teach high school art which is pretty awsome! There are a lot of mixed emotions with all the uncertainty. But the prominent feeling is hope. I am excited to see my students again and be in the classroom. I missed the energy of being with other creative beings. I know it will come with challenges but I know that with some creativity any challenge can be faced. I stand in gratitude with my cup full from teaching a summer of outdoor yoga. I am thankful that people chose to spend their time with me in nature to improve their health and wellbeing.
