Random surge rain storm. Our site flooded What do you do next? ~~ Choices; Ego said “it’s all a mess! Your tent is submerged under water, everything is soaked & you have 5 more days of camping left- because you just arrived. All is ruined” ~~ Spirit said “you got all you need, flow with it” ~~ Outcome; Just a girl who put on her rubber boots (a last min addition to packing) & grabbed her paddle board. We are making memories! ~~ At any moment, we have the choice to choose how we see, act & move through the moment next & next. No bio children in this life story. ~~ - Life Spark was acknowledged with over 10 nominations & 3 wins for our Trauma Informed/Sensitive work on & off the mat ~~ -July 2021’s breast ultrasound confirmed that I continue to heal a questionable breast polyp. 15 years as an early detection cancer survivor 🎉 ~~ There is more to unpack from this year. Ode to those who turn mirrors into windows. ~~ Enter my high school theatre teacher. You can call him Mr.Trites. I call him Mike. ~~ High school was hard for me. Socially I was rich with peer connection. Yet I was missing the adult connection. My parents knew what they knew/ didn’t know what they didn’t. ~~ This left a huge void in my wide eyed desire to take on my world. ~~ Enter the man in this photo: Mike Trites. ~~ It would be one simply said sentence that would unlock the person I am today. “You want to act out, do it on stage” ~~ Mike was my drama teacher & in that moment, he became the lifeboat, cheerleader & the compass that would see me set out to the sea of life. ~~ I spent my teenage years on stage, deep in characters that became like family with fellow actors & teachers that exampled the power of community. ~~ I haven’t stepped on a theatrical stage or picked up a script since 2000. Then again, isn’t all the world’s a stage??!? ~~ Thank you Mike. You helped penned the masterpiece that was inside me. The caring adult. That point of grounded connection. Mirrors to windows. ~~ You have helped form the container that is me AND how I now, much like you, impact the world around me . ~~ Always a student on this stage of life. My client who was the 1st time home buyer just moved into their new home. Happiness all-around right now☺ But the road to the final destination was not easy. I was the lucky winner today of a wonderful dinner idea basket, provided by Kim of HWA home warranty team. . More often than not, I choose the zoom option to attend meetings. It saves time, helps with productivity and you know, it's make up optional 😂 But today I attended our ALC and our office team meeting in person. It was refreshing to see my colleagues in person. And I won a prize, totally unexpected. But it sure feels great! .
