Today we set off across the island to ride the Tren Urbano for the first time. It was fun and totally doable! Our destination was Coliseo Rubén Rodríguez for a basketball game between KU and Puerto Rico. Bruce had not mentioned that he didn’t like KU, K State was his team…. So we cheered for Puerto Rico, but KU ended up on top, final score 106 to 71. We stopped at the salt pans to see how the salt production was going. Looks like a harvest has been completed, and the empty sections are now being filled so the evaporation process can begin again. The saltwater being piped into this pan was creating sea foam at the far end.
