Why does Side One just say ‘SIDE’? Happy to have an official pressing of this finally. I missed out on the presses in 2013/2014. The German boot has been doing its job as a stand-in, even if it didn’t have labels or a jacket. My favorite side is probably side three because it’s got that great run of ‘The Brothels’, ‘Just A Feeling’, and ‘Brixton’ which I think are top tier Rancid songs, but when I hear ‘The Brothels’, it makes me wish Give Em The Boot was on vinyl like it deserves. ‘I Wanna Riot’ is another highlight, think I’ve seen them play that twice live, just a great song! I’m guessing everyone just go this one delivered and will be spinning it over the weekend. Sometimes it’s hard to tell if the pressing is weird or just that the source material was kind of weird to begin with. My CD of Raise always sounded kinda thin and glassy. I found my first copy of this in the $1 bin at Money Tree in Owensboro, KY in 1992. Considering who was on it I figured it was worth a $1. Fell head over heels in love with this album and it remains one of my favorite @ecm_records releases of all time. I sold it and all my records unwillingly in The Great Purge of 2005 but a year ago I found this white label promo at Ken’s Hi-Fi in Hendersonville, NC.
