FOREVER "DIVA" : IN LOVING MEMORY OF WILHELMENIA WIGGINS Fernandez (January 6, 1949 in Philadelphia - February 5, 2024 in Lexington) Yesterday I saw JEAN-JACQUES BEINEIX' neo-thriller "Diva" on the television station NDR for the first time in many years and was as enchanted as I was in the cinema in 1983 when I was a child. I thought, what happened to the beautiful opera singer WILHELMENIA WIGGINS FERNANDEZ, with whom I was in love like the young postman and opera fan Jules (Frédéric André) in the film? Unfortunately, my research revealed that WILHELMENIA passed away in February of this year. She was only 75 years old. I am glad that "Diva" composer and conducted VLADIMIR COSMA ist still alive. IN LOVING MEMORY OF BARBARA RUSH (January 4, 1927 – March 31, 2024). I admired and loved the beautiful US American actress a lot. She was amazing beside MARLON BRANDO and DEAN MARTIN in "The Young Lions" (1958) - I named her in my Brando tribute on his 100th birthday for renowned daily newspaper FRANKFURTER RUNDSCHAU, and also superb in "Hombre" (1967). In 1954, BARBARA RUSH won the Golden Globe Award as most promising female newcomer for her role in the 1953 American science-fiction film "It Came from Outer Space". Later in her career, she became a regular performer in the television series "Peyton Place" (1968 - 1969), and appeared in TV movies, miniseries, and a variety of other programs, including one of the best episodes of "The Streets of San Francisco" (1973), the soap operas "Flamingo Road" (1980 - 1982) and "All My Children" (1992 - 1994). Last but not least she was starring in the family drama series "7th Heaven" (1997 - 2007). Rest in peace, BARBARA!
