Testimony time, this mission started out being about the children and while that was part of it God showed me he is bigger than anything we “expected” or planned for in this trip. In this he showed me that we have a ministry no matter where we are, who we are with, or what we have planned. Our first night in Chattanooga we were leaving the restaurant and a man named Robert approached me asking if I had any food because he and his wife were hungry. I gave him what I had, prayed with him, and we left. In the car I mentioned seeing my friends the next day. The next morning (on the way to grocery shop) I looked for them but they weren’t there so went on. After we left Ruby Falls I asked Brandon if we could go try again to find my friends and he said yes. Wouldn’t you know we pulled up to the gas station and Robert and his wife were there. I got out to go talk to them and Brandon went to get them some drinks and food. I got to meet his wife and also had time to learn about their lives and how they ended up where they were. Brandon eventually came out and the team ended up getting out of the car with us talking and praying. God has absolutely put them deep in my heart and I believe he positioned me right where I needed to be to encourage them where right where they were. In the midst of this encounter another man was behind us and Brandon, Dorily, and I spoke with him, prayed with him, and encouraged him too. It was a confirmation to me of a word Pastor Christian gave us back in June. God will always put someone in your path and on your heart.
