Visited the Laxmi vilas palace today and I am amazed this palace doesn’t get as much attention. It is amazing inside though you see only 11 sections of the palace. The rest of the palace is closed off as the royal family still lives there. The photos are only from outside as no photography is allowed inside. The palace along with fateh singh museum has an incredible collection of Ravi varma paintings which is why I primarily went for and I left very content. Remembering Kekoo and Khorshed Gandhy at completing 60 years of Gallery chemould . I m blessed one to have association with Kekoo and Khorshedben Gandhy since 1961 before opening of Chemould. In initial 10 years of my artistic carrier it was tremendous support of kekoo for my artwork and I always remember it and thankful to Kekoo and Khorshedben for same . The art work in picture was made by me at Raja Ravi varma studio at Luksmi vilas Palace Vadodara on same Easel on which raja ravi varma used to paint his artwork.
