From yesterday's walk through Kenosha Sand Dunes Park. I was taking pictures of insects (shots of a Steel-blue Cricket Hunter. Black Swallowtail Butterfly, and Tiger Beetle) and birds (female Blackburnian Warbler, female American Redstart, female Palm Warbler,and a Seagull guarding its find) when a gentleman noticing me doing so, shared with me that he had just come across what he thought might be a Wolf. I had to check it out. He directed me to the location he'ld seen it. So the last 3 heartbreaking shots of this post are of a coyote infected with Mange. These sand dunes were formed over 10,000 years ago - wind and evaporation created the sand banks, which were then cemented in place by wild grasses. The rapid transition from forest to beach can be seen all at once (last pic) - which is super 😎. Sadly though, they're eroding: much like what SHOULD be happening to gun rights in this country...So!
