Le séjour à Takayama a été court (2 jours), mais incroyable. Ce séjour à Takayama a été très enrichissant. Maintenant, nous partons pour Osaka, la troisième plus grande ville du Japon. Nous avons rempli une bonne partie de notre Goshuin et fait l'expérience de manger sur un tatami, le revêtement de sol traditionnel des washitsu (pièces d'habitation japonaises). Nous avons également découvert les onsen, des bains thermaux japonais naturistes dont l'eau provient de sources volcaniques (+40°C). Ces expériences, que nous ne voulions pas manquer, font partie intégrante de notre voyage. When I arrived to Japan for my first duty station I was completely out my comfort zone. I spent my formative years in a small town an hour north of Savannah, GA. I was young, single, and knew that I wanted to see as much of the world as I could. This photo was taken in 2009 after spending a week attending training on the culture and social norms of Japanese people. The last day of the training we were let out to apply everything we learned and explore an area away from the base. I decided to explore Kamakura, an historically significant city that is filled with many beautiful shrines and temples.
