As ever, we had a great time playing records at the Butlin’s Soul Weekender! Big thanks to Butlins for having and looking after us again …. but also to anyone who came along to our warm up sets before we handed over to Des Grant … an early start for sure but we try to ease people in gently 😉 It was great to say hello to a few people …. whether they be asking about records, making requests or just generally chatting. Nice chatting to a couple of people who’d seen us at Skegness recently too. As ever, the main team DJs made us feel very welcome … so a big thanks to Des, Al, Charlie and DJs Credable and Bliss … between us we got to catch at least some of everyone’s DJ sets which were all very well received as was the Mystic Three set in Reds on Friday night. We got to see some great acts too …. particular favourites were Soul II Soul but we also caught Heatwave plus Carroll Thompson and Janet Kay.
