Since it is pretty obvious that we now live on the planet Hoth and will never again experience warmth, I decided to reminisce about the old days back when the sun provided us warmth. The Slip N’ Slide, probably the most famous sprinkler type toy ever created. Being that I sunk like a rock whenever I stepped into a pool, this was my way of having fun in the water while still avoiding death. I’ll be honest though, I never trusted the damn thing. I was always concerned that one of the stakes that held it down would be sticking up and neuter me on my joyride or we would miss a rock in the grass when we laid it down and it would puncture my lung. So being the only kid in the world who turned a Slip N Slide into a medieval torture device,I had the Fun Fountain. I never really knew the name of this thing so I always just called it “Mr.Water Clown”. Mr.Water Clown was awesome, water would shoot out of his giant head and suspend his hat 100 feet in the air. Ok, not 100 feet, but it was still pretty damn impressive. The game my friends and I would play was we would take turns jumping through the stream without letting the hat fall. The winner of this game got absolutely nothing, but it was always fun to watch the loser have a giant plastic clown hat knock him silly when it fell down on him. Then there were always the kid that would sit directly on the clowns head like it was their own person bidet. #funfountain #slipnslide

こんばんは。今日も暑い1日でした。それでも家にいてばかりだとよくないと思い、主人と辻堂のテラスモールに行きました。寒いぐらい冷房が効いているモールのお店を歩き回り、カフェで軽食をとった後、外の遊べる噴水を見に行きました。噴水と言っても仕切られているわけでもなく、水が溜まっているわけでもありません。お皿のように少し地面が丸く薄く凹んでいるだけなのですが、そこからいきなりポーンと水が飛び出してきたり、霧が噴き出してきたりしてそれが音楽に合わせて色々な出方をするので子供たちの格好の遊び場になっています。子供たちはもちろん、見ている大人も楽しい気持ちにさせてくれます。 Buona sera. Oggi è stata un'altra giornata calda. Tuttavia, ho pensato che non facesse bene stare a casa tutto il giorno, quindi sono andata al Tsujido Terrace Mall con mio marito. Dopo aver camminato per i negozi e aver fatto uno spuntino al bar del centro commerciale climatizzato esageratamente in cui faceva quasi freddo, siamo andati fuori a vedere la fontana. Anche se lo chiamiamo la fontana, non ha né la partizione né una forma che contiene acqua. Lo spazio è tondo e leggermente ammaccato come un piatto piano grande, ed all'improvviso da lì fuoriesce dell'acqua, erutta la nebbia e ne esce in vari modi a seconda della musica, che diventa un parco giochi per i bambini.
