Hi guys!! Long post ahead!! I am almost done with being landlocked, merman. Just 5 more days to go until I am cleared to swim and do gigs again. I am also officially celebrating 6 months on testosterone! It's been a very awesome experience so far. Especially, being able to look in the mirror and see my reflection match more and more with who I have always felt on the inside. Now, my voice is deepening along with other masculine features such as facial hair, etc. It's awesome!!! It's been really nice to finally live my truth and be fully and unapologetically myself. I have been dealing with a lot of hate and ignorance, but it's only allowed me to become more and more resilient and courageous in standing firm in who I am as a person and fighting for my truth regardless of the opinions of others. I have even found more confidence, peace, and self-love within myself! I know that I will be dealt a lot for being trans and for the rest of my life probably, but I'd rather be Orion Benjamin and Transgender Man who is so happy and finally finding his way in life, than be the person I was before. A person who always felt so depressed, angry, unsure, and not understanding why I had always felt "trapped in the wrong body" since I was 3 years old. Now, I know that their was never anything "wrong" with me. There just seems to be something wrong with those who are quick to judge and hate me without even trying to understand anything from my perspective. For whatever reason, I was born this way, and I have found peace with that. I have a guy's brain in a female body, and I feel that it's probably for a reason. I am not sure what that reason is yet, but I hope that if anything my journey will help others in the future feel encouraged and eventually safe enough to come out with their truth and be free be and unapologetically themselves too. Who I am is not wrong. Judging and hating others for things you will never understand is. P.S. I was really looking forward to yesterday for a few reasons. The first reason was that it was our first dapper day as a family. The past few dapper days Michael has had to work and could only go in the evening. The second reason was that I gave myself a reason to not only focus on X being ready to go but to focus on myself and doing something I enjoy. I have not been doing that as much as I should lately. Mom life is an adjustment and finding that happy medium between myself and myself as a mom is tricky.
