I am in such a festive mood for the upcoming holidays and weather now! Look at this bright cup of Yum! I tried the 16 oz. Persian Chai with oat milk, hot. This was so tasty. It was slightly warmer than the winter wonderland chai. It reminded me more of pumpkin pie or egg nog. So warm like a creamy belly hug. I got a treat to go with it - a Vegan Maple Nut Shortbread bar. Oh my!! You must try it. It tastes like soft toffee on top of buttery flaky soft shortbread. It couldn’t get better. So glad I made it in before the winter break. I even got to see a sweet doggo lounging with us inside. This cafe is the best. It was a dreary day today so I needed a bright and buzzy lunch. First of all, yes, I am shaking. I drank the entire Large Chai-Coffski with Oat milk plus my usual coffee quota today, but it was worth it. I’ve been waiting to try this drink @debeenespresso It smelled absolutely divine with the hot spices wafting up out of the coffee and tea blended into the hot creamy oat milk. Secondly, this is one of my top two most loved and most clever café drink names. The other is posted as well and it is the Freudian Slip @tatestreetcoffee The Chai-Coffski, However, tastes better and has coffee in it. It’s the complete package. I just love this cafe @debeenespresso so much! Back again to try the new chai and it is extremely tasty. I highly recommend it. Some chai teas and holiday drinks leave a bad taste in my mouth from too much syrup and sweetener. I chose the Winter Wonderland (Half Moon Chai tea & white chocolate) half sweet with oat milk. It was perfect. This is how I imagine a cozy holiday drink to make me feel - toasty and hints of spice with creamy foam, no bad after taste. Mmmmm 🤎🤍 I was having a burger and fry craving moment today (I can’t be the only one) and I’m giving away my little secret. I order a kids meal using the @wendys app and it’s so user-friendly, I can order in like two minutes and drive through, skipping the payment window because I did it all on the app. I can add all the fixings to a kids burger with a small fry and lil cute frosty for $4.26. It’s almost half the calories and sodium. I get my fast food craving satisfied and I can sit at work afterwards with feeling horrible. So that happened. It was delicious and I regret nothing. This was my second visit to @debeenespresso and it was better than my first. There’s a little yoga studio, @purelightyoga that seems tucked inside the cafe. They are separate businesses but it almost feels like a little womb, protected inside the cafe. I’ll need to try this place out soon🧘🏻♀️ Monday lunch turned out to be a delightful splurge. My favorite salad, wild caught salmon salad (360 calorie salad with dressing), was waiting @publix.highpoint for $9.49 and with my weekly club perk of -$2.00, it was only $7.49!!!! I ordered an oat matcha latte with no added agave @debeenespresso It was frothy, thick, earthy and naturally sweet - mmmm. The barista was so helpful and nice. I grabbed a GF chocolate chip walnut cookie too, in case I ‘need’ it later. What delightful reading material they have set out here. Happy Juneteenth, everyone! And a special thank you to Camille for her story with friends and cousins Raivionne and Jazlynn on Sat morning. The ladies came to DeBeen for a long-weekend coffee date. Camille says, "I’m from Virginia. My cousins took me to DeBeen to try some coffee, and I absolutely loved it! It’s so hard to find good coffee spots! I loved the aesthetic of the place and how friendly the staff was. The barista gave great suggestions and even let me smell the syrup. I was highly impressed!" On Thurs morning, Anna treated herself on her last day of being 30 and after a good workout. "DeBeen is absolutely my favorite coffee shop in the Triad! I find myself in there any chance I get! Y’all, so I took my 700th Pure Barre class this morning @purebarrehighpoint and the sweet owner sent me to @debeenespresso when I inquired about a kick ass caffeine infusion. I ordered a ginger cookie latte with skim milk and got a cinnamon cookie to entertain myself on my drive home. Both were AMAZEBALLS and I’d probably drive back to High Point just for the coffee shop. Their ceilings were burlap coffee sacks, there was a huge (see photo) fountain INSIDE, tons of treats, a kitchen where you could see the magical baking happening and lots of seating areas to chill or meet friends. Sara has been visiting and posting about the cafes and coffee shops of Winston and Washington DC. We love that she shot the photo against our handpainted mural of coffee beans! Sara says, "I got a hot oat milk latte this time, but I’ve tried a bunch of your special tea and coffee drinks and I’ve loved them all! The latte was so good! It gave me energy to prep for the week!"
