I have added one more interesting watch to my collection:-) The watch for the Observatory Competition with Electa ebauche was tested in the 1926 Neuchatel Observatory Competition "Poche 1re classe" via Vulcain at that time and won the "1er Prix". The Adjuster was Charles Augsburger who had worked for Electa for many years, and after Electa was liquidated in 1926, he worked for Vulcain for several years. Later, it became the collection of Antoine Simonin, and came into my hands. As a side note, Electa was founded by Prosper Nordmann in 1890, who had previously worked with Henry alfred Lugrin in the United States, producing complicated watches. Gallet acquired the company in 1906. Gallet's Electa workshops began producing a series of an extra high quality series of watches for the Laforge & Valentine jewelry department of Macy's New York store. Manufactured under the "Lifetime Series" trademark, all watches contain between 21 and 23 ruby jeweled bearings, and chronometer level accuracy.
