Who can relate? Before we came up with the concept for Honest Gorilla to make shopping for energy simple, we would (and many still do) go to the state sponsored website, PowertoChoose, sort for the cheapest plan and select the one that made the most sense. PowertoChoose would then send us to the energy provider's website where we'd have to start the process all over again...except with another set of product plans and options to sift through. It's actually quite frustrating! We would would read the EFL (or Electricity Facts Label) for each plan and plug those figures into our handy spreadsheet we had developed and modified over the years.(Most skip this step in the process and simply signup). Finally, after a few hours, we'd choose the plan that made sense to us financially but also one that we had a grasp of how much we could expect to pay each month. And so, after years of going through this exercise ourselves and helping family and friends collectively deal with this ongoing frustration with the shopping process, we decided to simplify the entire experience and make it fun for everyone!
