Long ago, the fairy race would visit the human Celtic lands, they would stay for a while enchanting those who crossed their path and then return to their immortal lands. The fairy folk worked with the flora, fauna and land to slip through the veil between the two worlds. The entrances to their world and the messages they send are hidden from all but the keenest human eye. There are still many magical places in this land where time moves a little slower and man’s hand has not had an impact on the land and its creatures. Yesterday we made it to @middleportpottery the home of Burleigh Pottery. Established in 1851 with only one of the seven bottle kilns remaining. It remains a working factory and we were lucky enough to do a factory tour; getting in behind the scenes and seeing how the amazing workers go about their craft to create this truly iconic British ceramic. So much knowledge is encapsulated within these historic walls. It was truly a highlight thus far of our little British jaunt. So many photos taken.
