🍂🎃🖤🕯️ Blessed Samhain 🕯️🖤🎃🍂 The third in my series of Sabbat inspired outfits: Samhain 🧡 The season of the third harvest ✨ As Samhain is usually linked to Halloween, I wanted to create something inspired by the darker, spiritual aspect of this Sabbat, given that it is celebrated in April/May for those in the Southern Hemisphere… Tonight, the veil between worlds is thinnest and it is a time to honour our ancestors, decorate your alter, have a quiet feast (leaving a plate out for lost loved ones) practice divination, reflect, release, make offerings, enjoy eating foods that symbolise the last harvest such as apples, pomegranates and other fall crops, and carve pumpkins 🎃 As I also like to celebrate Samhain at Halloween (given it’s my favourite Sabbat and I love spooky season hehe) I take a personal spiritual approach to the southern hemisphere Sabbat celebration and enjoy reading tarot, journaling & paying my respects to my loved ones who have passed. I will light a few candles in their honour tonight, connect with my deities and decorate my alter with offerings for them 🕯️🖤 . My day so far has been wonderful all around, I've carved pumpkins, watched Halloween movies, drunk homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte, and sat by my cat Edda's grave talking to her and eating sausages. I carved the little pumpkin cat you see in the picture as a symbol for my little Edda, especially this year Samhain is very important to me as it is the first Samhain after Edda's death, so today it is easiest for her to walk on our side as the veil between the worlds is thinnest today. I just had a fantastic day all round. Hope everyone had a good Samhain/ Halloween as well as a blessed Yuletide/Christmas & New Year's Eve. I have taken a break from Instagram and was partially active on Facebook but still kept to myself. A lot has happened. To start with, I am currently undergoing the divorce process. The man who I thought I married turned out to be a manipulative liar. My soon to be ex husband lied about his past & I had to find out from a former friend of his who he had me block months ago because of some disagreement they had. I unblocked said person because my intuition one day told me at some point that I should reach out & connect, so I did. Things weren't adding up in my marriage and needed answers. I definitely found what I needed to know and wasted no time packing my things because there is no way I am going to stay married to someone I don't feel safe with, let alone who lied about his past. This goes to show that your intuition KNOWS when something is up even before you even consciously realize it for yourself. Intuition speaks to us in unexpected ways sometimes. The Universe had definitely conspired to clear the fog that was blinding me for so long. Always listen to your intuition, even if you are told that there's nothing to worry about. Your intuition could really be your life saver, if you are receptive & willing enough to listen.
