Designed by Federico Formeti and presented to the world in 1963 and produced until 1965 with 1,059 existing units, the db5 had a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated inline six-cylinder engine which managed to produce a power of 282 horsepower with a 288 Nm of torque through a 5-speed ZF manual transmission, thus achieving an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds and a maximum speed of 233 km/h, and brake discs on all 4 wheels were responsible for stopping it, which had to have a weight of 1502 kg. Beside @byeturbo‘s DB9, The Aston Martin DBS V12 is our personal favorite from the British brand. It built based on the DB9 (that’s why it looks similar but with considerably more menace) powered with 5.9L V12 AM08 engine it could produce more than 510 HP at 6.500 RPM. The same basic engine is also used in the DBR9 and DBRS9 racing cars. Crazy to think it was made 17 years ago but it doesn’t look old at all. - For a 17 years old car, it holds up really well, 0-100 KM/h in just 4.3 seconds, it’s a capable GT and an iconic piece of engineering since it appeared in the 007 movies like Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.
