Grand Canyon National Park - South Rim Trail 🏞🥾 After spending a day out at Desert View, we drove back to the main area of the National Park near the Visitor Center and Village, of course stopping at every viewpoint along the way. The Grand Canyon is just so stunning from every angle! After setting up camp at Mather Campground, we hit the Trail of Time portion of the South Rim Trail from Yavapai Point to Bright Angel Trailhead. There were pedestals with the different layers of rock that make up the canyon, going all the way to the oldest - Elves Chasm Gneiss, which is found in the depths of the Vishnu Basement rocks and is 1.84 billion years old. We turned back at Bright Angel Trailhead, as descending into the canyon was more than we had time for. That said, it was still cool to see the switchbacks running down the cliff from the rim into the Havasupai Gardens, before making another dip down to the Colorado River. After chilling at our campsite for a bit, we hit up a ledge near Yaki Point for another canyon sunset, which had less cloud action, but was no less beautiful. The golden hour leading up to sunset really popped off this time 🙌🌄 The next morning we got up early to watch one more sunrise, this time at Mather Point, before packing up and heading out. There's so much more to see and do at the Grand Canyon, but I'm so glad we made the trek out there from Vegas. Seeing the vastness and depth of it in person was amazing, and I truly understand why it's such a popular American landmark and national park!

14 Dzień 5 Wielki Kanion Na camping przy Wielkim Kanionie dotarliśmy późnym wieczorem, gdy było już ciemno, ale mieliśmy zarezerwowaną dużo wcześniej miejscówkę, więc nie było problemu. Na drugi dzień, po śniadaniu zameldowaliśmy się i wymeldowaliśmy jednocześnie, a po chwili przejechaliśmy na parking bliżej kanionu. Zabieramy plecaki, idziemy nad krawędź kanionu i... mojej drugiej połówce poleciały łzy. Tego się nie spodziewałem 😊 Ale trzeba przyznać – widok robi niesamowite wrażenie. Żadne zdjęcie i żaden film nie odda tego uczucia, które towarzyszyło nam w tamtym momencie. Nie dziwię się, że ranger z kempingu był zaskoczony, że wpadliśmy tylko na jedną noc, bo mógłbym tam siedzieć godzinami. Przeszliśmy najpierw w jedną stronę, wróciliśmy autobusem do visitor's center i poszliśmy w drugą stronę. Rano byliśmy tak wcześnie, że turystów prawie nie było, więc udało nam się zobaczyć krążącego kondora. Po kilku godzinach musieliśmy ruszyć dalej, do następnego noclegu. W drodze z Grand Canyon Village do Desert View Watchtower kanion ukazał nam się jeszcze kilka razy. The south rim is open all year round and the north rim is open from May 15 - October 15. 2. Bring LOTS of water. While some hikes may have water access on the trails, some don’t. It’s always good to be prepared for the warmer temperatures and sunshine. NPS suggests that each hiker drinks 1 liter per hour. 3. The park does offer a FREE shuttle bus system. Keep that in mind as there is not public parking lots at some of the popular trail heads, including Ooh Aah Point. 4. The least crowded times of the year are November through February. 𝔾𝕣𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕔𝕚𝕣𝕔𝕝𝕖 𝕥𝕣𝕚𝕡🏜️𝔻𝕒𝕪𝟚 𝔾𝕣𝕒𝕟𝕕 ℂ𝕒𝕟𝕪𝕠𝕟 2日目はグランドキャニオン 前日のホテルから2時間位🚗 平日の12時着でしたがパークの入り口と駐車場が激混みで 1時間程かかりました💦 時間に余裕を持っていくのをおすすめします ナショナルパーク何個か行く予定の方はAmerican beautiful pass(annual pass)がお得でオススメ❣️ 車1個あたり1年間国立公園行き放題80ドル 大体1ヶ所あたり30ドルなので3ヶ所行けば元がとれます💸 最初はvisiter centerの近い📍mather pointへ(写真1.4.7.8) 写真では伝わりませんが、全方位見渡せてすごい迫力😳 次は📍hopi point(写真5.6) グランドキャニオン内は無料のシャトルが回ってますがまさかの🐶乗れず バスの運転手さんが署名入りの車椅子マーク♿️の通行許可証を渡してくれて、車で行けました☺️ 人が全然いなくて、コロラド川も見えるし穴場でした そのあとはyavapai pointでsunset🌅 1時間前に着きましたが人がわりと集まってました ここの夕日もまた綺麗でした🧡 ここの星空が今まで見た星空の中で1番綺麗でした🌌 あと、人が歩いてるすぐそばにデカめの鹿みたいな生き物が割といた🫨 🏨Yavapai lodge グランドキャニオン内にあるロッジ チェックイン、チェックアウトは車で数分の建物でするタイプ その近くにでかめのスーパーあり。食材やすぐ食べれるものがあって結構便利でした #アメリカ駐在 #駐在妻さんと仲良くなりたい #アメリカ生活 #アメリカ旅行 #グランドサークル #グランドキャニオン #グランドキャニオン国立公園 #マザーポイント #ホピポイント #犬とアメリカ旅行 #犬とおでかけ #grandcircle #grandcanyon #grandcanyonnationalpark #matherpoint #hopipoint

Heute war Wandertag. Ich war den ganzen Tag im Grand Canyon Nationalpark. Mit jeder Stunde sah das alles anders beeindruckend aus. Gerade zum Abend wurde die Aussicht bei dem ständig wechselnden Licht minütlich spektakulärer. Ich konnte mich gar nicht losreißen. 從大峽谷的日落到日出 大家都翻山越嶺拍美照 我大概會嚇到軟腿😨 晚上住懶人帳篷，很特別的體驗 開進去營區時一直懷疑真的有營區嗎？ 周圍一片沙漠 沒有電沒有光害 肉眼所見的星星，多到嘆為觀止 是我見過星星最多最美的地方 晚上帳篷零下三度就像個冰箱！ 借了暖爐但只能用四小時 在被窩裡不能動彈，一動就會冷 但我還是睡死，真佩服自己～～～ 凌晨四點起床，大家都要夜衝日出 冷到我直接懷疑人生 可惜雲層太厚沒有看到日出 留點遺憾下次再來吧🙃 #grandcanyonnationalpark #matherpoint #wandercampgrandcanyon

2024-05-01 미국여행 12일차 Grand Canyon National Park 1 어제는 늦은 오후에 Marher Camground에 도착해 저녁을 해먹고 소나무 사이로 손에 잡힐 듯 빛나는 별을 보다 잠들었다. 이른 아침 먹이 찾아 야영장을 휘젓는 까마귀 소리에 잠이 깬다. 무료셔틀버스가 4코스가 있어 원하는 곳을 가기 쉬운데 나는 Mather point에서 시작하여 South Rim, 이어서 West Rim의 Hermits Trailhead까지 걸으며 그랜드캐년의 속을 들여다 보는 방법을 택한다. 관광객들은 Mather Point와 그랜드캐년 빌리지 부근에 가장 많다. 버스에서 내려 일부 지점 간을 걷고 다시 탑승하기도 한다. 빌리지에 있는 롯지의 레스토랑에서 웨이팅까지 하고 El Tovar Dinning Room에서 처음으로 제대로 된 후한 점심도 먹는다. 일부 지점에서는 콜로라도 강물과 Bright Angel Trail을 걷고 있는 사람들도 보인다. 종일 걸어도 뷰가 특별하게 바뀌는 건 아니지만 걷다 내려다 보다 하다보니15km나 걸었다. #미국여행 #그랜드캐년 #matherpoint#그랜드캐년림트레일#그랜드캐년콜로라도강
