"Mr. and Mrs. Gator" These are the two primary gators found at this nature preserve, apparently a committed couple. The larger male gator would periodically keep us onlookers in check my growl-roaring (I cannot think of any other way of describing it since it would appear that he perfectly combined a growl and a roar into one). Lucky shot of a quick little lizard. I realized that no matter how fast I tried to be, the lizard was faster. But by slowly approaching, I could inch closely without startling it. I had a really nice walk through #jeanlafittepark this morning. I saw a squirrel eating blackberries, saw my first deer and had an owl fly directly over me. That's the owl on the left. It's hard to see but he perched and then just watched me. We had a staring contest for a while. I'm proud to say that I won. π Now it's smoothie time! Have a good Saturday everyone!
