Fellowship. Competition. Any time is fellowship time🫂 As a club, we take pride in fostering a familial bond amongst ourselves and anyone who joins us. Therefore, we are always happy to and supportive of any moment that we can share with each other. Because of this, we continue to promote _fellowship through service_ at meetings and projects. Highlighting some of our adventures this year: • Pausing our distribution drive to wish Director Kalecha, a happy birthday 🎂 • During the cleanup, we had fun by hosting karaoke and showing our competitiveness among each other- who picked up more trash. World Health Day is celebrated on April 7th and to address the different types of challenges, the theme this year is “My Health, My Right.🥼👩🏾🦽 The population’s health worldwide is increasingly becoming threatened in many areas. Conflicts between nations cause pain, disease and suffering to many, not forgetting the psychological distress that it creates. Happy Easter Sunday 🌺🤍 Often called Resurrection Sunday, Christians celebrate Jesus Christ’s risen. Three days after He was crucified, the tomb where He laid was found empty. It is believed that these events set the tone for a lot of occurrences, even in today’s society where situations seem challenging and negative but victory is nearby. In many households, they celebrate the newness that Easter brings. Traditions have been developed over time such as Easter eggs and the Easter bunny. Eggs specifically represent fertility and it is said to celebrate the resurrection or rebirth. The bunny is similar as in many cultures, the rabbit is regarded as pro creators so a bunny is a symbol of rebirth. Although there isn’t any information about the beginnings of the Spiritual Shouter Baptist, it’s agreed that the religion started among persons of African descent in the nineteenth century⏳ It can be found throughout the Caribbean under different names, but the name “Spiritual Shouter Baptist” is indigenous to Trinidad. It was given because of their tendency to shout, clap and sing loudly during their services🕯️👏🏾 The origins can be traced to foreign countries but it has evolved over time and is one of the indigenous religions in Trinidad. World Down Syndrome Day recognizes those living with Down Syndrome, and is celebrated on March 21st every year. Down syndrome is the most common chromosomal condition, having different types. However, it wasn’t until 1866 that Down Syndrome was first discovered and diagnosed but characteristics were noted before.
