๐ฅถ GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE ๐ฅถ I finally got a chance to watch Frozen Empire and absolutely loved it! Afterlife felt like a great reintroduction to the Ghostbusters franchise, but Frozen Empire really brought a great mix of fun storytelling and of course nostalgia. I grew up with Ghostbusters (both the movies and the animated series), so watching this movie made me feel like a child again. I liked how the OG characters served the story (especially Ray Stantz), never taking away the spotlight from the new generation of Ghostbusters. The Spengler family is just genuine and funny, and Phoebe (played by the amazing Mckenna Grace) really carries the film with her wits and emotions. Letโs not talk about the awesome costume department that somehow managed to bring a new twist to the classic Ghostbusters jumpsuits (little teaser for my upcoming interview)! All in all, I hope they continue to bring more Ghostbusters adventures! Last Night's Film was for me and always will be the amazing Ghostbusters Frozen Empire. I will always love very entry in this franchise. Its always fun to watch and I really hope one day they get Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver back in it. This movie has the usual laughs and ghosts and of course Slimmer. In my opinion I needed more of Slimmer lol. Paul Rudd is so great I love everything g he does. I swear he doesn't age either haha. I also wish the old cast had more scenes in it. PKE readings continue to rise as we add events to our Spring Line up: The First event we will be participating in is the Lewiston Eagles Auxiliary Easter Egg Hunt! It is on March 30th starting at 11AM and the Easter Egg and Scavenger Hunt will be under way at Noon! Reading Royalty LLC will also be on hand, for pictures! Please come and say hi to them as this is one of their final events! There will be other activities on hand as well before and after the Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt. Garden Report Spring is on! Did a general tidy and added radish and onion transplants, sown Feb 14th. They joined 10cm tall garlic sown last November. I like growing a perimeter of garlic and other smelly allium to deter pests. The indoor operation is ramping up quickly. Many pepper and tomato seedlings broke ground this week. I'm down to 7 overwintering peppers and really hoping the 4 year old can limp through the next 2 months. The Habaรฑero I'm holding in the 1st pic is growing really fast! It's my current fav. We've boasted through out our seven years of operation about other Ghostbuster franchises not only in the United States, but also international as well! We've recognized many, many of them through patch trading and collection (six full boards of patches) on our page here. Truth be told, we are but a small piece in a much larger collaboration of those helping their communities raise money for their charities while also keeping meddlesome spooks, specters, and ghosts at bay. Tonight, the Confluence Valley Ghostbusters went and purchased gifts for their annual St. Vincent De Paul Christmas Connection drive that they hold yearly. A total of $480.00 was spent youths between the age of 12-18. We are deeply humbled by the many donations that we recieved one being $300! We also had many that just wanted to donate and help out the cause of the Christmas Connection and not participate in the raffle items. We will be holding our raffle drawing the night of the Christmas Connection event which is December 16th. Just as a reminder though, that it is one prize per person. We are so humbled to know that there are so many caring and studious people in the Confluence Valley. We will be at the Christmas Connection event December 16th from 10AM till 2PM. Continuing our week of teases for what we've got brewing for the coming year, we wanted to give you a first look at something we've had in the works for a LOOOONG time now that envisions what a unified and expansive GHOSTBUSTERS toy line could look like and taps into characters from all across the board in one cohesive collector's line. We're talking movie GB, Comic GB, Concept GB, Videogame GB, ALL cartoons including Real, Filmation, Extreme, Slimer! (and yes, we very much understand that Filmation GB is a verrrry different series than Real GB, but this is just for fun, so let's see where our imagination takes us, be it a Firehouse or Ghost Command. The bigger point is that there are a TON of untapped characters we've never had in plastic before from both worlds and we're angling to cross some streams in the best way possible! Whether this would be @necaofficial @super7 @trick_or_treat_studios @hasbro @jadatoys @premiumdnatoys or another awesome toy company willing to pick up what we're throwing down will be discussed in detail within the series, but one thing is certain, we'll have a hauntingly good time! A while ago we gave all of those who follow us on here a heads up of the sudden removal of various Ghostbuster Franchise Facebook pages. We were concerned we may be next! Ghostbusters News recently had theirs removed. Thankfully, Ghost Corps stepped in to help have their page brought back up. We had an index of suspicion that it may have been a well known EPA agent behind it...boy, where we surprised to find out he wasn't! Ghostbusters News wrote an article that those who have franchise pages should read to avoid potentially having their pages unpublished. We will be taking the proper steps to avoid any unnecessary unpublished. Holy Smokes! Today, we got a package in the mail from Headquarters! The Confluence Valley Ghostbusters received a letter from Hook and Ladder 8. For those not familiar with Hook and Ladder 8, it was the FDNY firehouse in New York that was used for the outside shots of the Ghostbusters Firehouse. We had sent them our franchise patch as well as another Ghostbusters patch a few months ago to be included in the Firehouse on their display wall. This evening the Confluence Valley Ghostbusters would like to extend our thoughts, our prayers, and our condolences to the Smoky Mountain Ghostbusters. It was announced today by their team that they lost one of their members. Andrew "Zap" Mayes passed away unexpectedly from a long-term illness. Reading through the comments, the stories, and all of the pictures it was very apparent Andrew made a huge impact on everyone around him and will leave behind a legacy that'll last the ages. As we look at the jumbled amount of data that has trickled in from our readings of the Palouse area we notice the rift we were most recently tracking has inevitably collapsed in on itself. Plus, our werewolves requested more time to perfect their howling techniques. When we come back in 2024, will need all hands on deck, dead or alive, to make 2024 the most Horrific event yet! She hales from the west side of Washington and is eager to start helping out where she can! Not only has she got great experience with helping out the community where she lives by helping with soup kitchens and Church drives, but she also is a volunteer firemen! As part of her probationary period she has to attend three events that we either host or we participate in.
