Hallo Welt Teil 1 Ich hatte versprochen, euch meine Geschichte zu erzählen. Ich bin noch immer ratlos, aber lest es selbst: Wir haben (oder hatten?) das Jahr 1350. Ja, 1350. Es war ein sonniger Tag in Irland. Ich, mein Name ist George, war (oder bin?) an diesem Tag ca 30 Jahre alt. So genau kann ich das nicht sagen. Ich hatte ein seeliges und zufriedenes Leben. Ich war kein reicher Mann, aber ich besaß eine kleine, selbstgebaute Hütte aus Holz. Friedlich gelegen am Rande eines kleinen Baches, der sich klar und frisch über Steine seinen Weg in den Wald bahnte. Dort wohnte ich. Ich war glücklich. Jeden Morgen weckten mich die Vögel. Erst war es ein leises Zwitschern, bevor die Sonne sich über den Feldern erhob und die Welt in ein zarte Morgenröte tauchte. Der Nebel lag noch über der Erde. Es war also ein früher Morgen, als ich beschloss in den Wald zu gehen, um Pilze für mein Abendmahl zu sammeln. Es duftete so herrlich. Nach Moos und Morgentau. Natürlich kannte ich den Wald wie meine Westentasche. Bewohner aus dem Dorf munkelten, dass Kobolde dort zuhause seien und Feen über den Hügeln in der Morgensonne tanzten. Leider habe ich noch nie eins der Wesen getroffen. Ich schritt also fröhlich voran. Doch plötzlich verdunkelte sich der Himmel. Es zog Regen auf. Zum Glück fiel mir die kleine Höhle am Rande eines Hügels ein. Dort würde ich noch rechtzeitig Schutz finden, bevor der Schauer mich komplett durchnässt hätte. Ich lief also los und erreichte den Unterschlupf alsbald. Es krachte über mir. Ein Gewitter zu dieser Jahreszeit. Ungewöhnlich. Aber ich harrte aus und presste mich so dicht es ging an die erdige Wand. Gefühlt vergingen Stunden. Endlich ließ der Regen nach und die Sonne schien durch die Bäume. Meine Knochen waren von der Kälte und Nässe ganz steif. Ich ging langsam, mich streckend aus der kleinen Höhle. Die Erde dampfte und die Regentropfen glitzerten an den Blättern. Ich beschloss, mich auf den Rückweg zu machen. Die Sonne stand mittlerweile schon hoch am Horizont. Sie tat gut und wärmte meine feuchte Haut. Gedankenverloren schritt ich vorwärts. Children and mothers holding balloons, grandfathers with their grandchildren, office workers passing by. The photo gives you the feeling of being transported back in time, like sitting in a coffee shop over the concourse and watching the flow of people. I think each person had their own encounters and farewells at Kyoto Station back then. In 1963, the old Tokaido Line took six and a half hours between Tokyo and Osaka (now 2.5 hours by Shinkansen). Heute starten wir mit einer kleinen Zeitreise in die Epoche des Barock. Müsst Ihr auch 2x hinsehen, um unseren #lieblingsdom zu erkennen? Auf diesem Bild sehen wir das Innere des Doms auf einer Zeichnung von E. v. Bresler von 1864. Es unterscheidet sich erheblich von der heutigen Ausstattung. Zunächst zu den Gemeinsamkeiten: Wir erkennen die Heinrichskanzel rechts im Bild, die von der Decke hängende Strahlenkranzmadonna und das Adlerpult in der Mitte der Chorhalle. Der heutige Hauptaltar mit der Pala d’Oro fehlt. Stattdessen sehen wir am östlichen Ende der Chorhalle den 1803 geweihten Muttergottesaltar („Berdoletaltar“, Abbruch 1875). Vor der balkonartigen Abtrennung zwischen Oktogon und Chorhalle beten Gläubige. Ein Domschweizer in französischer Uniform steht als Wache vor dem rechten Gitter. Am auffälligsten an dieser Zeichnung ist die für jene Zeit typische Deckengestaltung mit üppigem Stuck und Malereien. Auch der 1782 ausgewechselte Bodenbelag aus schwarzen und weißen, quadratischen und dreieckigen Marmorplatten unterscheidet sich deutlich vom heutigen.
