As much as this can apply to most parents I will speak specifically to parents and families with children that are “unconventional” Any topic on parenting can be very sensitive because every parent have their own parenting style and opinion( rightly so) Most parents already have high expectations even before the child is born.( very normal) but soon experience a rude awakening As this child grows and you realise that your high expectations meets resistance every time It can appear that most children like that already have expectations of themselves and are serious about it ( and they are given all sort of labels) It should quickly occur to us that those children are to be guided and natured differently (they experience the world more intensely than others) What matters to you? your child’s happiness or your high expectations. All they need is your support and loving guidance and their surroundings “the village “ should reflect that too. Yes a “village”can be totally helpful but is it the right village for your child development and happiness. There’s nothing wrong with parental expectations( totally understandable)but as along as it’s not to the detriment of the child. I then moved immediately to my Eva and her needs. For she has been fighting an infection for a few days Today and yesterday and the day before, My biggest accomplishment has been Snuggling my baby. A worthy accomplishment, yes But also, I've struggled I have to-do lists forever long But instead I have spent 20+ hours snuggling Any parent knows that when a child is unwell, the world shifts entirely to them. That my day has space for me to snuggle her, For this I am grateful. But in order to give this much to a child The mother must fill her cup How does a New Earth mother do this? I do it through connection with the trees, connection with the birds, connection to spirit. Today, I could feel my cup draining I could feel myself loosing patience So I went outside, during her afternoon nap And sat in the tree circle. I took off my shoes, my bare feet on the earth Then the birds all sang a chorus just for me The sun kissed my back The wind blew my hair And I received such profound answers to my prayers 25 minutes to myself in nature was all I got Britton returned home from shopping I got up to go help bring everything inside And when I walked into our home I was informed Eva had wet the bed. I rushed in to help my little Eva, As she was now sitting quietly in a bath And while I sat with her, I sang in full performance, classic Disney hits Stone-cold faced 'audience member' child And overly dramatic, true Broadway star mom I laughed at how she stared at me, deer in headlights While I sang Let it go at the top of my lungs Knowing she absolutely loved every minute. You can be a mother and a lover A partner and a friend Life can consist of magic It can flow through you With joy and ease There is so much magic in these moments of PRESENCE The greatest gift I've ever given myself is my presence I've learned to live every aspect of my life presently. When I put this quantum technique into place with my son, he stopped running off in the street and in the shops and he felt calmer and much happier in new situations.
