We are calling it #eagletangle - inspired by the lovely @yog.nidhi 🫶 Here are my top tips: 🦅 warm up your wrists and hips (this is a big one!) 🦅Set your cameras on the lowest height of a block 🦅if the head gets in the way with the hands behind, slightly look up and back to have more space. 🦅eagle the legs and bring the knees as close to your chest as you can 🦅if it feels better cushion your hips! 🦅 press forearms together and don’t worry if the hands don’t come all the way to the floor! Happy ❤️ YOGI SEE YOGI DO ❤️ day! First things first, #Garudasana is a pose that for an unknown reason I haven’t figured out how to tuck my toes behind my calf—while balancing on one leg. If I doing it lying down, I managed to put my foot behind my calf only on one side. I am not sure if I among a little % of yoga practitioners that don’t like this pose. This week Pia @northernstar_yoga is our host with a tangle of limbs for us to try, and yes, that tangle is garudasana upside down. I am trying to see things as a challenge and working on stop saying “I can’t”. When I saw the post I thought “oh well, I will give it a chance” and this is what happened. I used a block under my hips to bring my knees closer to chest. I like Pia though I woke up stiff in my left underneath the knee ache this morning, but Pia’s nice stretch helped it a little bit. I see a lot of rubbing down in the area and heat and cold compresses in my Saturday though I did go to the couch last night I should have reclined myself as well. I will be doing that soon after I post this post for Yogi See Yogi Do. I’m glad that my right knee isn’t hurting. Haha 🤣! Though I would have to be in the recliner for that to happen. Puppy pose with Puppy 🐱 This pose look’s definitely easy but I also had to work on this asana. My shoulders are always tight so I always have to warm up properly when getting in to this pose.
