🎨✨ The Public Housing Community Fund (@communityfundnyc), Artolution (@artolution), and partners, are thrilled to announce the completion and unveiling of a vibrant 2,500-square-foot mural at NYCHA's Red Hook Houses West! This stunning artwork was designed through a community-led process, with Red Hook Houses residents guiding the installation and helping paint images important to them. In collaboration with Artolution, a nonprofit art organization, Red Hook Houses West residents embarked on a creative journey. Fifteen youth from the community led the visioning process and participated in an innovative partnership with Snapchat. Over four weeks, these young leaders engaged with two members of Snap's Lens Network to master Lens Studio, bringing the mural to life in Snapchat through an AR Lens they designed! New project out. Lumen, a character I designed. This project aims to create something original, from concept to completion, exploring skills not always utilized in commercial work. Inspired by a childhood fascination with fireflies, the creation of Lumen began with basic sketches, acknowledging that even rudimentary drawings can help on creating projects. Detailed in Zbrush and 3ds Max, with Substance Painter for textures and Vray for lighting, Lumen is an ongoing narrative-driven creation, subject to further development.
