The dreamiest setting, most lovely female main character, and a comforting nostalgic atmosphere. I really love these romances that use dual timelines to create emotional resonance and sentimentality. It was also so sweet & cute how the author made Lucy girly yet strong. The subtle references to her pretty dresses and femininity were delightful. And don’t even get me started on the Prince Edward Island setting. It’s been five summers since I’ve been back on the maritime coast and this story filled a special place in my heart. If you’re looking for picturesque Canadian settings and nostalgic atmosphere like in Carley’s two previous romances, this book will not be any different.
The audiobook narrator was ✨ perfect ✨ She sounds sweet & girly but confident & sure of herself.
