Just finished ✨ Tales of Light and Life ✨ and am so ready to jump into Phase 3 of The High Republic! I also want to give a quick shout-out to @charlesdsoule. Back in early 2021, while we were all very much still in the middle of the pandemic and before everything had started opening back up, he put up an offer on his website to receive an autographed book plate to accompany the start of The High Republic series for only a few bucks.
I had the pleasure of getting to talk to him about this back in February at @megaconorlando. He said he did it because he had missed getting to go to cons and other events where he could actually interact with us, the fans. He figured that this was a decent way to bridge that gap and still do something for his fans. The best part is that he didn't just sign his name and move on. He also wrote quotes from THR and doodled little lightsabers, which really made each one unique (and showed off some serious artistic skills 😂).
I keep this book plate in every High Republic book or comic book that I read as my bookmark. I know I should probably have it framed or displayed on a shelf, but it just makes me too happy every time I open whatever book that I'm currently on. It reminds me of a time where we all needed some light in our lives, and then came "Light of the Jedi" .
