It’s been a while since I’ve had time in the garden, I popped in a sweet potato plant last spring to see what would happen. ( we are in southern Victoria so thought it might be too cold ) The vine has grown beautifully, and I noticed some satellite tubers forming away from the main plant, (not sure what the normal growth pattern is for sweet potatoes) so I’ve dug them up and they look great! There are a few that are decent sized, so those I’m going to cure for a few weeks then eat! 😊😊Some are already shooting again, so might keep those to plant in Spring. I haven’t touched the main clump yet as the vine still looks healthy, but not sure if that the right thing to do. Anyone else had a go at growing sweet potatoes in Melbourne?
